Gourds Galore

Participants will choose a large gourd of their choice as a creative palette to transform into baskets, birdhouses or figurines by decorating with various materials such as paint, decoupage and carving. Time: Tuesday and Thursday, Nov. 1 and 3 from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Location: Main Hall Room 116 Instructor: Hallie Woods Student Limit: 20 Fee: $35

Embroidered Towels

Cooking: Island Night

Tour the Pacific islands through food by learning to prepare traditional island cuisine, including Sambal tomato salad, chicken long rice, potato mac salad, sticky rice and Haupia. Ski Conditioning Seminar

This free seminar will provide valuable information for participants who want to make the most of the slopes. The seminar will focus on tips for safe skiing, ski conditioning and injury prevention. Information on great opportunities at Maverick Mountain will also be discussed. Cupcakes: Thanksgiving

Ornamental Tree

Floral Pumpkin Centerpiece

Just in time for Thanksgiving, participants will learn to create an arrangement tailored to fit their homes’ personal décor with fresh flowers and the iconic symbol of fall, the pumpkin. Digital Scrapbooking

Participants in this workshop will learn how to create a digital scrapbook using the online companies Snapfish and Shutterfly. By learning to explore the various options to create personal, one-of-a-kind photo keepsakes, participants will complete the class with finished photo books of their own.
