TRIO SSS staff

Brian Pilcher
Brian Pilcher is the director of TRIO SSS. Brian has years of experience in natural resources management, having worked as a biologist and a forester. He still collaborates on some wildlife projects like the beaver reintroduction project in Tatarstan (Russian Confederated States) a few years ago and a current beaver research project in
Yellowstone
National Park . With his experience in the sciences, it is only natural that most of his advisees in the TRIO SSS program are science majors.

Jeanna Meier-Francisconi
Jeanna Meier-Francisconi has been with TRIO SSS as one of the Retention Specialists since TRIO SSS opened its office Fall semester 2001. She has both her BS and MA in English. Since 1980, Jeanna has taught High School English, English as a Second Language for international corporations and private schools, as well as for two Universities. Jeanna is Ojibwe, and taught for five years at the Tribal College on the Navajo Nation in Arizona. She brings this background, plus six years of teaching at Montana Western and working as AmeriCorps team leader to TRIO SSS.

Christy Keyes
Christy Keyes is a Retention Specialist for TRIO SSS and the Tutor Coordinator for the campus
Learning
Assistance
Center for Excellence. She has been in this position for two years and part time as the Tutor Coordinator for a year before that. She is a graduate of Montana Western and a former TRIO participant.

Kelly McIntosh
Kelly McIntosh is a Retention Specialist, special projects and web coordinatior in TRIO SSS; she has years of experiecne working in "helping" human services, and is working toward a Master's degree in counseling. Kelly is a graduate of Montana Western. She has been employeed at the university since her graduation. Kelly loves both the Dillon and our campus community. She is thrilled to be serving Montana Western students, where she can continue to utilize her first-hand knowledge of Montana Westerns faulty, staff and the Experience One program.

Lynn Weltzien
Lynn Myer Weltzien, Licensed Counselor of Social Work, has been the Director of the Campus Counseling Program at the University of Montana Western for the past tem years. She has a Master of Science in Social Work from the
University of
Louisville and is a licensed clinical practitioner for the state of
Montana .
Lynn specializes in helping young adults and non-traditional students obtain the focus and perspective needed to assure personal success at Montana Western and beyond.
