Caspari Montessori Institute - Montessori is an internationally known approach to education developed by Dr. Maria Montessori who transformed early education by following principles based on scientific observation, respect and the child’s need to learn by doing. UM-Western has collaborated with Caspari Montessori Institute to offer university credit for the Montessori early childhood courses.

Virtual Education Software - The University of Montana Western has partnered with Virtual Education Software, inc. to offer continuing education courses online. Montana Coaches Association - Montana Western's School of Outreach and the Montana Coaches Association team up during the annual Multi-Sports Clinic hosted in Great Falls, Montana. The MCA Multi-Sports Clinic is one of the last "all-sport clinics" in the country, providing professional development for coaches with the mission to raise the quality and competence of coaching and administration to the highest level possible. Yellowstone Association Institute - Montana Western and the Yellowstone Association Institute (YAI) have teamed up to provide teachers professional development through experiential learning. Institute courses are based in the field, and most require you to be an active participant. Some of the growing list of available courses include Naturalist Guide Certification, Yellowstone STEAM, and Introduction to Wolf Management and Ecology. The School of Outreach provides high quality learning opportunities to citizens of all ages. These opportunities supplement Montana Western's traditional academic programs. We offer alternative and innovative educational experiences at locations on and off campus, as well as sites linked by technology. Courses are offered for college credit, continuing education credit, professional development, or no credit. Offerings include day, night and weekend classes; semester, seminar and workshop formats; and web-based and computer-based courses.
