AAS: Early Childhood Education

Early childhood faculty meet for two retreats each year to evaluate data and make needed changes. This year we met in September and we will meet again in May.

At the September meeting aggregated data from exit interviews, observations, and portfolios were reviewed. As a result of this review, changes were made to the Meeting the Needs of Families observation instrument. Through the analysis, we found that several of the items on the instrument were not observable items and were therefore not a valid indicator of student's skills.
