EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR’S REPORT
The University of Montana Western Foundation consists of volunteers who wish to support the mission of the University, its programs and students. Please understand that when we refer to the Foundation’s financial support we are speaking about, and on behalf of, the generosity and kindness of many individuals, businesses and corporations. Without their philanthropic gestures there would be no Foundation support.
Significant capital gifts/support
- Bender Center - Albert & Ethel Bender Bender Center Completed - Gift from Leon Hirsch Upon completion of the facility the Foundation donated the Bender Center to the University.
- Roe House - Ted Turner Roe House Renovation - Marg Roe Upon completion of the renovation the Foundation donated the building and furnishings to the University.
- Vigilante Field Lighting – Ted Ori Upon completion of the project the Foundation donated the improvements to the University.
- Vigilante Field Grandstand - various gifts Upon completion of the project the Foundation donated the structure to the University.
- Recreation Fields Lease – Private individuals Excavation - Devers Construction/Ted Ori Sod - Various donors Leased through the Foundation/Supervised by the University
- Sparky’s Garage - Foundation purchase Apartments - Foundation purchase, University managed o Residence - Foundation purchase Rented to University personnel
