Men's basketball splits two at home

The University of Montana Western men’s basketball team returned home for the first time in over a month to host Montana State University-Northern and the University of Great Falls on Thursday and Saturday, Jan. 10 and 12.

The University of Montana Western women’s basketball had a tough weekend as they dropped their first two conference games of 2013. Starting on Jan. 3, the Bulldogs took to the road, traveling to Butte, Mont. to take on the Montana Tech Orediggers.

Men's basketball splits two on the road

The University of Montana Western Bulldogs men’s basketball team traveled to Butte, Mont. on Thursday, Jan. 3, and evened up their conference record with an 81-74 win over the Montana Tech Orediggers. On Saturday, Jan. 5, the Bulldogs battled with 11th ranked Lewis-Clark State College but came up a bit short in the 69-82 loss.

Men's basketball takes 10-4 record to conference play

The University of Montana Western men’s basketball team traveled to Billings, Mont. on Saturday, Dec. 29 and took on the University of Calgary. The Bulldogs and Dinos met for the third time this season and the Bulldogs remained victorious with an 85-82 win.

On Wednesday, Dec. 19, the University of Montana Western men’s basketball team traveled to Montana State University-Billings and dominated in a 78-57 victory.

McCloud & Vezina receive Scholar-Athlete awards

The National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) announced Tuesday that 259 football student-athletes have been named 2012 Daktronics-NAIA Scholar-Athletes, including the University of Montana Western’s Jesse McCloud and Torrey Vezina.
