University of Montana Western Bulldog basketball kicks off this Friday and Saturday as the men's and women's teams face the University of Lethbridge. To catch the 2012-2013 Montana Western Bulldogs in action, head to the Straugh Gymnasium on Friday, Oct. 12 and Saturday, Oct. 13 with the women starting the action at 5:30 p.m. followed by the men at 7:30 p.m. On Saturday, game times will be at 2 p.m and 4 p.m.

The University of Montana Western volleyball team traveled to Billings on Friday, Oct. 5 to take on Rocky Mountain College. On Saturday, the Bulldogs continued east until they reached Dickinson, N.D., home of the Blue Hawks of Dickinson State University.
The University of Montana Western volleyball team continued their winning ways over two more Frontier Conference teams. On Friday, Sept. 28, the Bulldogs prevailed in five sets over Rocky Mountain College and on Saturday, Sept. 29, Montana Western took down Dickinson State University in straight sets.
The University of Montana Western volleyball team traveled 925 total miles to take on Lewis-Clark State College in Lewiston, Idaho on Saturday, Sept. 15. Although the match did not end in the Bulldogs’ favor, the long trip was still a step in the right direction. The Lewis-Clark Warriors handled the Bulldogs in straight sets, 25-19, 25-20, 25-17.
The University of Montana Western has named Janelle Handlos interim athletic director and manager of the Bulldog Athletic and Recreation Complex (BARC). Handlos will take over for outgoing athletic director Mark Durham, who will be leaving his position on June 1, 2012.
