Montana Western to add cross country in 2015

The University of Montana Western Athletics Department announced it will add Frontier Conference and National Intercollegiate Athletics Association (NAIA) competitive cross country teams starting in fall 2015.

Bulldogs oust Northern, host Frontier Championship

The University of Montana Western men’s basketball team hosted the third-seeded Montana State University-Northern Lights on Saturday, March 2. The Bulldogs held on for the 68-59 semi-final victory and earned the rights to host tonight’s Frontier Conference Championship.

The University of Montana Western equestrian team traveled to Missoula, Mont. on March 2 and 3, 2013 to compete in two English horse shows and the Regional English show hosted by the University of Montana.

Women's basketball loses in Salt Lake City

The University of Montana Western women’s basketball team traveled to Salt Lake City, Utah to play the Westminster Griffins in a semi-finals game on Friday, March 1. The Griffins, who are currently the number three team in the nation and the number one seed in conference play, went into the game with a 14-1 conference record with their only loss coming from Carroll College.

UMW host MSU-Northern in conference semifinals

The University of Montana Western men’s basketball team rode a five-game win streak into the postseason, earning the second seed and a bye in the first round of the Frontier Conference Basketball Tournament. The Montana Western Bulldogs now will face Montana State University-Northern on Saturday, March 2 at 7 p.m. in the Straugh Gymnasium the UMW campus.

Bulldogs upset Orediggers in big playoff win

The University of Montana Western women’s basketball team traveled to Butte, Mont. last night to take on the Montana Tech Orediggers in the first round of the Frontier Conference playoffs. The Bulldogs emerged victorious, 55-46.

Bulldog football signs 12 new recruits

University of Montana Western head football coach Ryan Nourse announced the signing of 12 new Bulldogs to Frontier Conference Letters of Intent. Eight of the new recruits hail from Montana, three from Idaho and one from Washington.

The University of Montana Western men’s basketball team will head into the Frontier Conference playoffs on a five-game winning streak after hosting Montana Tech and Lewis-Clark State College on Thursday and Friday, Feb. 21 and 22.
