The University of Montana Western lost to Montana Tech 7-43 this past Saturday, Nov. 2. The loss moves the Bulldogs to a 3-6 record, while it bumped Montana Tech up to an 8-1 record, which leads the Frontier Conference.
Although the University of Montana Western did not get the wins this weekend, they were able to regain some confidence they will be taking with them to the Frontier Conference Tournament.
The University of Montana Western traveled to Salt Lake City, Utah to take on two NCAA DII teams out of Colorado. Friday, Nov. 2 saw a win over Western State and Saturday, Nov. 3 was a close loss to Fort Lewis.
The University of Montana Western equestrian team traveled to Missoula, Mont. to compete in three Intercollegiate Horse Show Association (IHSA) English horse shows on Nov. 3 and 4. The students competed against Carroll College, the University of Montana, Utah State University, Rocky Mountain College and Montana State University.
The University of Montana Western hosted the Craig Finberg Memorial Tournament on Friday and Saturday, Oct. 26 and 27. The tournament featured four teams: Walla Walla University, College of Idaho, Rocky Mountain College and Montana Western.
The University of Montana Western volleyball team had a pair of matches last week. On Thursday, Oct. 25, they traveled to Havre, Mont. to take on the Montana State University-Northern Skylights. The Bulldogs returned home to host Carroll College on Saturday, Oct. 27.
The University of Montana Western football team beat Rocky Mountain College 23-20 on Saturday, Oct. 27.
The University of Montana Western Bulldogs women’s basketball team announced the signing of Kellie Miller, a 6’ wing/power forward from Chandler, Ariz., to a Frontier Conference/NAIA Letter of Intent.
The University of Montana Western women’s basketball team traveled to Butte, Mont. this past weekend to play a non-conference game against the Montana Tech Orediggers. The Bulldogs lost 61-72.
The University of Montana Western avenged a Frontier Conference loss to the Westminster Griffins on Saturday, Oct. 20. The Bulldogs were able to win their fourth straight home match in four sets, 25-20, 23-25, 25-15, 25-20. The Montana Western win also broke a 16-game losing streak against Westminster College.
