Bulldog Football adds Helena and Hamilton standouts

University of Montana Western head football coach B.J. Robertson has announced the additions of two more in-state recruits. Coach Robertson has signed Helena, Mont. senior Jammer Halverson and Hamilton, Mont. senior Kris Cleveland to Frontier Conference/NAIA letters of intent to play football and attend Montana Western.

Bulldogs open post-season play with home game

The University of Montana Western men’s basketball team will open their post-season journey at home this Friday at 7 p.m. versus Lewis-Clark State College. The Bulldogs finished their regular season conference schedule with a 9-7 record and a fourth place finish. The Warriors finished 8-7 and in fifth place in the conference.

UMW women’s basketball hosts first round tournament game

The University of Montana Western women’s basketball team finished the regular season in fourth place in the Frontier Conference. The Bulldogs had an 8-8 conference record, one game better than Great Falls who finished fifth. Great Falls comes to Dillon on Saturday, March 1, to take on Montana Western.

NAIA offers streaming access to national tournament games

Montana Western Bulldog fans can catch all the NAIA national basketball tournament thanks to a streaming service offered by the NAIA. 

The NAIA Division II men’s basketball championship is March 12-17. The Division I men’s tournament is March 19-24.

The Division II women’s tournament is March 12-15, and the Division I women’s tournament is March 19-24.

Bulldogs add two more to 2014 football recruiting class

University of Montana Western head football coach B.J. Robertson has announced the signing of two student athletes to Frontier Conference/NAIA letters of intent to attend and play football for the Bulldogs. The signees are Helena, Mont., senior Jake Isbell and Coeur d’ Alene, Idaho senior Jared Turner.

UMW women look to close out season and host first round game

The University of Montana Western women’s basketball team had a two week home stand in which it won three of its four games. The women head on the road this week to finish the season in Butte and then Lewiston, Idaho.

UMW men hit road for final two regular season games

The Montana Western men’s basketball team will be back on the road after a four-game home stand to finish the regular season at Montana Tech on Thursday night and then at Lewis-Clark on Saturday. The Bulldogs are currently fourth in the conference standings and have clinched a tournament spot.

Montana Western women’s basketball streak ends at six

The University of Montana Western women’s basketball team had a five game winning streak entering their games this week. The Bulldogs hosted MSU-Northern on Thursday night and won by a score of 70-58. The women turned their focus to the Argos from Great falls on Saturday and were unable to continue their hot streak as they lost by a score of 63-83.

UMW men split home games, currently fourth in conference

The Montana Western men’s basketball team split their games last weekend. They hosted No. 20 MSU-Northern on Thursday night and lost by a score of 65-71. On Saturday the Bulldogs took on Great Falls at home on senior night and won 67-65 when a last second shot fell off the mark for UGF.

Montana Western recognizes winter sport senior student-athletes

Saturday evening at Straugh Gymnasium the Montana Western women’s and men’s basketball teams hosted Great falls. In addition to the games the fans who attended were also part of the Pink Zone game and senior night. In between the games eight senior student-athletes from Montana Western were recognized before the crowd and congratulated by their respective head coach, Chancellor Dr. Richard Storey, and Athletic Director Ryan Nourse.
