Admissions Representative I

This position is responsible for the recruitment and enrollment of qualified and talented students. Responsibilities include extensive travel to high schools and college fairs primarily in the West and Northwest states, interviewing prospective students, building relationships with families, public speaking, application review and follow-up, coordination of campus visit programs, database management and other admissions-related duties. The position reports to the Director of Enrollment Services. Qualifications A bachelor’s degree and a valid driver’s license are required. A demonstrated ability to meet goals and substantive involvement with university life or other university-related work experience (or equivalent customer service, database management and event planning experience) is required. Experience in an admissions office is preferred. A working knowledge of the block schedule (Experience One), the environment of southwest Montana and the majors offered at Montana Western is preferred. The successful candidate should have excellent demonstrated abilities in: Building and maintaining working relationships with college-aged students; Data entry within the Banner program; Working knowledge of Windows Access and Excel databases And organization of on- and off-campus activities and projects. Management Analyst/Administrative Associate

The position provides mid- to high-level administrative support for up to seven staff members working on discrete programs with the shared mission to provide high-quality learning opportunities to citizens of all ages. The position utilizes advanced analyst skills to evaluate and improve administrative processes. The position reports to the Dean of Outreach. Responsibilities Process and track travel forms, invoices, Procard expenses and reimbursement requests. Manage centralized filing system and perform routine clerical tasks. Answer a multiline phone system. Utilize advanced features of word processing and data management software (e.g., form creation, data analysis using pivot tables and advanced formulas, cross document links, importing and exporting database reports). Coordinate staff schedules, program offerings and course registrations. Maintain content on School of Outreach website. Manage multiple program demands in a high-profile environment with frequent interruptions. Build and maintain positive relationships with administrative offices, academic departments, faculty, students and the general public in a friendly, discrete and professional manner. Must develop general knowledge of campus office functions (Registrar, Business Services and Admissions), program requirements, and registration and fee payment procedures. Utilize enterprise software applications to market programs, enroll students, deliver services, track enrollments and monitor departmental successes. Must already possess strong Microsoft Office skills and be willing to learn publication (InDesign), learning management (Moodle), program enrollment (Banner and El-star), communications (SharePoint) and web management (Joomla!) software applications. Must interface with Information Technology Services Office to model data and processes, refine reports, automate business processes and create user stories. Identify, analyze and prepare data and system information with the goal of improving administrative processes. Work as a team member, accepting unit tasks as assigned.  Qualifications Two years of administrative experience. Evidence of strong writing skills. Experience writing online content for the web or electronic media is preferred. Evidence of strong organizational, time-management, customer-service and problem solving skills. Attention to detail. Demonstrated proficiency utilizing advanced features of Microsoft Word and Excel, data management and web software. Experience utilizing enterprise software is preferred. Associate Director, Technology Services

Department: Technology ServicesPosition: Full-timeWage: $51,000 to $56,000 (depending on experience) plus full benefit packageUnion Affiliation: NonePosting Date: April 2013 Description The Associate Director of Technology Services manages, performs and coordinates infrastructure support services. Primary responsibility focuses on academic computing services on campus. The position includes campus-wide management and training for student access to computing services, coordination of software and hardware acquisition, management and self-help training to further technology awareness and adoption. This also includes maintaining Windows server environments plus managing the campus’ core and perimeter network system including wired and wireless technologies. This position supports core server functionality including DNS, backups and restores, policies and permissions, storage management, SharePoint and shared documents, upgrades, virtualization and troubleshooting. In addition, duties include working with specialty applications as deemed appropriate to help meet the campus mission. The position is also responsible for all network infrastructure maintenance and upgrades. This includes firmware and security updates on switches, firewall configuration, bandwidth monitoring, data hookups, hardware replacement/upgrades and resolving connectivity issues in wired, fiber and wireless environments. The position also works with residence life staff in establishing and maintaining student access to campus computing services via residence halls. This includes access policy generation and enforcement, system connectivity support and monitoring system usage. Qualifications Candidates must possess the following: A bachelor’s degree in business, information technology, information systems or a related field, or equivalent directly related experience; The ability to design and expand a Windows 2008+ virtualized server environment; Demonstrated experience with Microsoft exchange server and server policy management; Demonstrated experience with wireless and wired network installation and configurations; Knowledge of network hardware management and configuration; A good understanding of current Microsoft application environment, including Windows, Office and Access; Demonstrated ability to work autonomously, provide department analysis, gain buy-in and implement process improvements and policy recommendations for technology services; Knowledge of server and network troubleshooting tools and techniques. Responsibilities include food preparation; cleaning and sanitizing equipment, utensils and coolers; properly storing items according to health codes; cash and meal plan account transactions and reconciling; training and supervision of part-time and student workers and assisting the manager in theordering of goods. This position requires a varying work schedule. Qualifications The successful candidate must hold two years of commercial food service experience. Candidates must be skilled in the operation of various types of food service equipment in addition to possessing the ability to communicate well with others both orally and in writing. Physical requirements include lifting up to 40 pounds, pushing and pulling carts and equipment, long periods of standing and exposure to heat, cold and cleaning chemicals. The knowledge, skills and abilities described here are typically acquired through a combination of a high school diploma and two years of commercial food service experience. A Serve Safe certificate is required within six months of employment and can be acquired on the job.
