The National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) has announced the 2013-14 Scholar Teams. Montana Western’s volleyball and women’s basketball teams have earned the distinction of being named to the team.
The UMW volleyball team, coached by Lisa Griffiths, had an overall team GPA of 3.35 for the 2013-14 academic year. The Montana Western women’s basketball team, coached by Lindsay Woolley, had a 3.29 overall GPA following the 2013-14 academic year.
For a team to be considered for the NAIA Scholar-Team award, it must have a minimum 3.0 grade-point average (on a 4.0 scale) as defined by the institution. The team grade-point average includes all eligible varsity student-athletes.
