Last year, the two teams split their season series with each winning on the road. The Bulldogs won 35-31 in Dillon and lost in overtime 38-41 in La Grande. In the Bulldogs loss to Montana Tech, sophomore quarterback Michah Mamiya threw for 308 yards and four touchdowns. Senior Craigh Cornelius caught two of the touchdown passes while junior Colton Woods caught the other two. In the win over Rocky, Eastern Oregon sophomore quarterback Chris Ware was 22 of 30 passing for 336 yards and five touchdowns. He rushed 11 times for an additional 76 yards and one touchdown. His efforts earned not only the conference’s offensive player of the week honors but national honors as well.
