Montana Western men’s basketball places five on academic all-conference team

The Frontier Conference announced the 2013-14 academic all-conference team and the Montana Western men’s basketball team had five players who have earned these honors through their work in the classroom. The Bulldog honorees include Gabe Rucker, Maazin Butler, Tyler Miller, Jordan Overstreet, and Zach Smith.

UMW places eight players on Frontier Conference all-academic team

The University of Montana Western women’s basketball team has placed eight players on the academic all-conference team for 2013-14. The women who have earned this honor are Sammi Bignell, Roxy Thurman, Jenna Banks, Kelsey Callaghan, McCall Hasquet, Taylor Kanthack, Kaci Matthies, and Baylie Smith.

Montana Western football adds three more to 2014 class

University of Montana Western head football coach, B.J. Robertson, has announced the signing of three additions to the 2014 recruiting class. Coach Robertson has signed Glasgow, Mont., senior Tyler Wesen, Marble Falls, Texas senior Jason Lenoir, and Twin Falls, Idaho senior Wyatt Doyle to Frontier Conference/NAIA letters of intent.

Bulldog football adds three Hamilton standouts to 2014 class

University of Montana Western head football coach B.J. Robertson announced the signing of three Hamilton, Mont., seniors to Frontier Conference/NAIA letters of intent to play football for the Bulldogs. The signings include Mont., Southwest A offensive most valuable player (MVP) Josh Bauder, all-state receiver Teague Blome, and first team all-conference linebacker Matthew Turley.

UMW men's basketball players receive all-conference honors

The University of Montana Western men’s basketball team had two players honored by the Frontier Conference and named as all-conference performers. The players selected as second team all-conference players were seniors Maazin Butler and Jake Owsley.

The University of Montana Western women’s basketball team placed three women on the all-conference team. The players who received the honors are Sammi Bignell, Roxy Thurman and Jenna Banks.

UMW women win first round thriller

The University of Montana Western women’s basketball team faced the University of Great Falls in the first round of the Frontier Conference tournament on Monday night. The game was originally schedule for Saturday, however, due to weather the game was rescheduled. The Montana Western women overcame a four point halftime deficit to win by two, 63-61.

Montana Western men’s basketball comeback falls short

The University of Montana Western men’s basketball team took on Lewis-Clark State College in the first round of the Frontier Conference Tournament on Friday night in Dillon. The LCSC Warriors would beat the UMW Bulldogs 84-80 in the opening round.

Frontier Conference tournament game rescheduled

The UMW Women’s Basketball first round playoff game versus the University of Great Falls  has been moved from Sat., March 1, to Mon., March 3 with a start time of 7pm.

Coach Robertson has signed Helena, Mont. senior Jammer Halverson and Hamilton, Mont. senior Kris Cleveland to Frontier Conference/NAIA letters of intent to play football and attend Montana Western.
