Megan Woolley is a native of Miles City, Mont. where she cheered and played basketball and tennis for Custer County District High School for four years before graduating in 2001. Woolley began coaching and teaching cheer and dance while attending the University of Mary where she completed a Pre-Vet degree in 2005.

After graduation Woolley returned to Miles City where she taught at a cheer, dance, and tumbling studio and coached a competitive club cheer team. Woolley developed the cheerleading program at Miles Community College (MCC), bringing a competitive focus to the team, and achieving varsity scholarship status.

In three years of coaching at Montana Western, Woolley has organized a club cheer squad and turned the program into a scholarshiped varsity sport.

Woolley and her husband Lindsay, head coach of the Montana Western women's basketball team, are the parents of a one-year-old son, Avery.
