Constitution Day & Citizenship Day, September 17th --- REGULATION

Pursuant to Section 111 of Division J of Public Law 108-447, the "Consolidated Appropriations
Act, 2005" (12/8/2004), 118 Stat 2809, 3344-45 (Section 111), educational institutions receiving
Federal funding shall hold an educational program for all students served by the institution which
commemorates the signing of the Constitution of the United States of America held on
September 17, 1787. Constitution / Citizenship Day will be held on September 17 of each year
(exceptions: when September 17 falls on a Saturday or Sunday or a holiday, the Constitution /
Citizenship Day program shall be held during the preceding or following week).
