The Bulldogs' Tyler Hurley hit a three-point shot to put the Bulldogs up 28-18 with 6:28 to play, giving his team a double-digit lead they would maintain for the rest of the game. When Gabe Rucker hit another three just before the buzzer, Montana Western entered the halftime break with a 47-30 lead. The closest Calgary would get in the second half was 16 points. All 13 players who suited up for Montana Western saw action and no starter played more than 26 minutes, giving the Bulldog bench valuable playing time. The Bulldogs had great ball movement and finished the game with 26 assists, 16 coming in the first half. Brandon Brown led the way with 16 points, seven assists and six steals. Hurley finished the night with 15 points, seven rebounds and four assists and Erickson scored in double figures with 10. Cedric Clarington had nine points, five rebounds and five assists. Jake Owsley had a game-high nine rebounds and blocked three shots. Kyle Perry grabbed seven rebounds and blocked four shots. Fidler, a smooth 6-foot-9 guard, led the Dinos with 20 points and six rebounds. Keenan Milburn added 13 points and was tops in assists with five. Calgary played the game without four key players, who were out with injuries or illness. Montana Western improved to 8-3 on the season while Calgary dropped to 3-6. The Bulldogs hit the road for games in Caldwell, Idaho on Dec. 9 and 10. Friday night the Bulldogs play Northwest Nazarene in an exhibition game at 6 p.m. and follow up with a game against the College of Idaho on Saturday night at 8 p.m. Both games will be played at the College of Idaho gymnasium.
