Christy Keyes to read at Feb. 23 Dances with Words

Christy Keyes, a writer based out of Wisdom, Mont., will be the featured reader at the Feb. 23 Dances with Words UMW NEWS BUREAU Christy Keyes, a writer based out of Wisdom, Mont., will be the featured reader at the Feb. 23 Dances with Words The Dances with Words speaker series is sponsored by the University of Montana Western Department of English. Keyes holds a Bachelors of Art degree in English: Literature and Creative Writing from the University of Montana Western and an MFA in Creative Writing from Goddard College. Not content writing strictly in one genre, she has penned non-fiction works, fantasy, romance and young adult stories. She is currently working on a superhero romance for an anthology, an article for a rural news magazine and a young adult story about a boy with a brain injury. Keyes will be reading a selection of both new and old work spanning several genres. The reading begins at 7:30 p.m. in The Cup coffee shop located on the lower level of the Swysgood Technology Center (STC) on the University of Montana Western campus. Upcoming Dances with Words readings include:
  • April 9: Brandon Schrand, University of Idaho. Nonfiction. (The Cup).
  • April 26: Jamie Ford, Great Falls, Mont. Fiction. (STC Great Room).
