Brandon Brown named to NAIA All-Tournament team

By Lowell Peterson University of Montana Western senior point guard Brandon Brown was named to the 75th Anniversary of the 2012 Buffalo Funds-NAIA Division I Men's Basketball National Championship All-Tournament team Tuesday. Brown led the Bulldogs to the round of 16 by scoring 26 points in Montana Western’s first round 85-83 overtime win against John Brown University. In the second round 100-85 loss to Concordia University, Brown again led the Bulldogs in scoring with 30 points. Concordia went on to win the national championship Tuesday night over Oklahoma Baptist University 72-69. Brown helped lead the Bulldogs to the national tournament in all three of his seasons at Montana Western. In five games over the three seasons Brown has scored 18, 21, 32, 26 and 30 points. The total of 127 points gives Brown a career scoring average of 25.4 points per game at the NAIA Division I men’s basketball national tournament. All-Tournament Team Davey Hopkins, Biola (Calif.)
