Equestrian competes in Florida

Four riders from the University of Montana Western Bulldogs equestrian team competed in the Intercollegiate Horse Show Associations western shows on March 24 and 25. The event was hosted by Florida State University at the Ocala Equestrian Complex in Ocala, Fla. By Lowell Peterson Four riders from the University of Montana Western Bulldogs equestrian team competed in the Intercollegiate Horse Show Associations western shows on March 24 and 25. The event was hosted by Florida State University at the Ocala Equestrian Complex in Ocala, Fla. The four Bulldogs — Carissa Callison, Bryne Kilgore, Jordan Fuller and George Lawson — competed for two winning rides, a reserve ride and a placing. Kilgore was named the advanced horsemanship champion and Lawson was named the intermediate horsemanship champion. Fuller was awarded the reserve championship in novice horsemanship and Callison finished in seventh place in novice horsemanship. Kilgore, Fuller and Lawson will move on to the national competition in Raleigh, N.C. at the Hunt Horse Complex on May 3-6.
