Poker and golf tourneys to raise money for UMW basketball

Saturday, Sept. 29 marks the inaugural Lion’s Den Casey Keltz Memorial Golf Tournament at the Beaverhead Golf Course in Dillon, Mont. The four-man scramble, shotgun start entry fee is $40 for Beaverhead Golf Course members and $65 for non-members. Play begins at 10 a.m. Proceeds will help fund the Casey Keltz scholarship for men’s basketball. Play begins at 10 a.m. Proceeds will help fund the Casey Keltz scholarship for men’s basketball. On Sunday, Sept. 30, the Bulldog men’s basketball team will host a Texas Hold ‘Em Poker Fundraiser at the Lion’s Den. Participants can preregister by Sept. 27 for a $100 buy-in and be entered in a drawing to win the entry fee back. The buy-in at the door will be $125. Players must be seated by 11:30 a.m. and play will begin at noon. Complimentary snacks will be provided.
