Yale University professor will speak about climate change "On the Rocks"

Mark Pagani, an associate professor at Yale University, will give a presentation about climate change Friday, March 20. Mark Pagani, associate professor of geology at Yale University will give a lecture at the University of Montana Western on Friday, March 20 at 4:15 p.m. in Block Hall 311. Pagani’s presentation will cover the affect of carbon dioxide on the earth’s climate and climate change. The presentation is a part of the visiting speaker series “On the Rocks.” Having received his Ph.D. from Penn State, Pagani has been published in numerous scientific journals and has chaired several scientific sessions. Recently, Pagani designed, coordinated and composed a proposal for a Yale Climate and Energy Institute, a multi-million dollar research institute designated to pursue solutions for climate change and energy needs. He is currently on the executive committee for this institute. Pagani comes to Montana Western through a grant from the US Science Support Program’s Ocean Leadership Distinguished Lecturer Series. The presentation is free and open to the public.
