By Wally Feldt The University of Montana Western lost 3-1 to MSU-Northern in a Frontier Conference volleyball match. With the loss the Bulldogs drop to 0-6 in the conference and 4-9 overall. Northern moves their record 2-4 in league and 5-7 overall. Montana Western got off to a quick start winning the first game 25-21. The Skylights regrouped and won the next three, 25-17, 25-19, and 25-16. Theresa Bennett and Jamie Zemljak led UMW with 11 kills a piece. Bennett also led the team defensively with 11 digs, followed by Shelby Mack with nine. Kaylee Bossert led the Lights with 15 kills followed closely by Taya Tokarski with 13. Tokarski led the team with nine digs. Saturday, the Bulldogs host the University of Great Falls and Northern travels to Butte, Mont. to face Montana Tech. Both matches begin at 7 p.m.
