Our Staff

Brian has years of experience in natural resources management, having worked as a biologist and a forester.  He has worked for an agency and a corporation, and now works part-time as a self-employed wildlife consultant.  He and his wife have a long-term research project active in Russia, and he has worked there on two 1-month stints.

Mica Tommi Slaven-Lamothe received an A.A.S. in print media in 1992 and a B.S. in Communications from New York University's School of Education in 1996.  Mica has performed advocacy and crisis intervention work for ten years, including two terms of V.I.S.T.A with community-based projects in Maine and Montana designed to improve social outcomes for people living in poverty.  Most recently Mica has worked with the Montana United Indian Association in Helena and the Women's Resource Center in Dillon.  She is tickled to join the MSUB program and can't believe she has finally found a job that requires her to go camping.
