UMW NEWS BUREAU The 20th Annual University of Montana Western Booster Club Golf Tournament will take place on Friday and Saturday, June 29 and 30. The tournament events begin on Friday, June 29 at the Beaverhead Golf Course with cocktails at 6 p.m. and a 7 p.m. dinner and team auction. The Montana Western Foundation will be recognizing recent Booster Club donations, which funded brand new equipment for the weight and training room in the Bulldog Athletic and Recreation Center. Tournament play begins on Saturday with shotgun starts at 8 a.m. and 1 p.m. Teams may check in at the Friday dinner or on Saturday prior to the shotgun starts. Team captains must meet to review tournament rules at either 7:30 a.m. or 12:30 p.m. before the respective starts. Cash prizes will be awarded for first place in each division and miscellaneous prizes will be given for longest putt, longest drive and closest to the pin. The Montana Western Foundation and Alumni Office will sponsor a $5,000 cash prize for the first hole-in-one on the fifth hole and the first hole-in-one on the 17th hole will earn a Kawasaki 360 ATV sponsored by Dillon Implement Company. The entry fee is $150 per player or $75 per player in the women’s only division. The entry fee includes green fees, access to the driving range, refreshments, dinner on Friday and lunch on Saturday.
