University of Montana Western science seniors Krystal Schwartz and Alex Head presented their internship work on Nov. 4 at 4 p.m. in Block Hall Room 311 on the Montana Western campus. Schwartz is from Sheridan, Mont. and is finishing a biology degree with a concentration in wildlife biology. Her presentation is entitled "Volunteering in a Fish Hatchery: An Insight to Fisheries." Head is pursuing a degree in environmental interpretation with a related area as a pre-professional fish and wildlife conservation officer. His internship presentation is entitled "Idaho Fish and Game Mule Deer Initiative and Sharp-Tailed Grouse Surveys." Most theses and internships completed in the departments of biology, environmental sciences and mathematics are presented at the annual UMW Research Symposium in the spring, but Schwartz and Head will graduate this December.
