UMW Foundation director in Leadership Montana

Amberly Pahut, executive director of the University of Montana Western Foundation and director of development and alumni relations, will join the seventh class of Leadership Montana, a statewide collaboration of higher education, community and business leaders. By Wally Feldt Amberly Pahut, executive director of the University of Montana Western Foundation and director of development and alumni relations, will join the seventh class of Leadership Montana, a statewide collaboration of higher education, community and business leaders. Pahut is one of 40 Montanans selected to participate in the nine-month, seven-session program of business and policy education. “I am very excited about the opportunity to focus on issues facing Montana and enhance my leadership expertise while representing Montana Western and the foundation,” Pahut said. The 40 participants are carefully screened and selected to ensure diversity and commitment. The program begins in September 2010 and will be conducted at seven locations across the state, concluding with a graduation in May 2011. According to Leadership Montana’s mission statement, “As Montana looks to the future, we face a changing and challenging economy, ever more complex issues regarding the health and security of our people, our management of natural resources. Progress depends on developing a sustainable core of committed leaders who understand these issues, are willing to learn to and learn from each other, celebrate cultural diversity and diverse opinions, and demonstrate a a passion for the Last Best Place. Such is the Mission of Leadership Montana.”
