Tuttle Named to Daktronics/NAIA Academic All-American Team

Ryan Tuttle, a senior linebacker from Missoula, was named to the 2005 Daktronics-NAIA Academic All-American football team.
In addition to other requirements, recipients must be junior or above in academic standing and must have a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.50 on a 4.00 scale.
Tuttle finished the season as the Bulldogs third leading tackler. He had 38 unassisted tackles and 46 assisted tackles. Tuttle had four tackles for loss, 1.5 quarterback sacks and three interceptions. He was a 2005 team captain.
Tuttle is a business administration major at Western and will graduate this Spring.

Six Bulldogs Earn All-Conference Honors

Six Bulldogs were named to the 2005 Frontier Conference All-Conference team.
Jake Larson, a 6-1, 175 junior wide receiver from Butte, Montana, was named to the first team. Larson led the team in receiving with 56 catches for 886 yards and six touchdowns. He set a single game school record when he caught 12 passes for 230 yards and two touchdowns. Larson finished first in the Frontier in receiving yards and second in catches per game.
Albert Distajo, a 5-9, 175 lb sophomore defensive back/kick return specialist from Nanakuli, Hawaii, was named to the second team as a return specialist. As a defensive back, Distajo was fifth on the team in tackles with 74. He led the league in kick returns with 11 returns for 272 yards or 24.7 yards a return.
Travis Hartman, a 5-10, 170 lb wide receiver from Great Falls, Montana, was named to the second team. Hartman was third on the team in receiving with 38 catches for 654 yards and four touchdowns.
Markona Mardonada, a 6-2, 300 lb offensive lineman from Kopa誕, Hawaii, was named to the second team. The Bulldog offense averaged 335.2 yards per game.
Stephen O誰eal, a 6-3, 230 lb defensive end from Laurel, Montana, was named to the second team. O誰eal was sixth on the team in tackles with 67. He had 16 tackles for loss and ten quarterback sacks. O誰eal led the league quarterback sacks and was second in tackles for loss.
Nick Prinzing, a 6-0, 195 senior defensive back from Great Falls, was named to the second team. Prinzing was fourth on the team in tackles with 79. He had 3.5 tackles for loss and 1.5 quarterback sacks.
