Western Rodeo Well Represented at Montana Circuit Finals

The University of Montana-Western Rodeo team will be well represented at the 26th Montana Pro Rodeo Circuit Finals January
14-16th at the Four Seasons Arena in Great Falls.
Nine current Western Rodeo athletes will be competing for a chance to represent Montana at the Dodge National Circuit Finals held in mid March in Pocatello, Idaho.
Chase Erickson of Raft River, Idaho is currently in the 7th position in the bareback riding and brother Mac Erickson is placing 8th. Western Rodeo Club President,Shawn Downing of Helena, is 10th in the steer wrestling and Dillon's Jabe Anderson is 12th. Jarrett Monroe of Browning is 9th in the saddle bronc riding. Matt Robertson of Augusta is fourth in the team roping as a heeler and Tate Dempewolf of Lindsey is ranked 10th in the team roping heading. Deana Levine, of Belt, qualified in the barrel racing. Matt Aipperspach is 12th in the bull riding.
Callie Freeman and Sarah Huston will represent Western in the Miss Rodeo Montana Pageant.
24 UM-Western Alumni and current students are among the 108 entrants in the Circuit Finals. In the saddle Bronc riding alone, over half of the cowboys qualified have roots at Western.
