All-Class Horse Sale

The University of Montana Western Rodeo Club’s All-Class Horse sale is set for Saturday, Nov. 11, 2006 beginning at 1 p.m. at the Beaverhead Livestock Auction. The sale features outstanding ranch geldings, weanlings and yearlings.

Current sale consigners include Delbert Carter of Corvalilis, Cathy Rash of Twin Bridges, Tash Quarter Horses of Polaris and Dick and Nancy Klick of Augusta.

Bulldog Rodeo Ends First Half of Season

The University of Montana Western rodeo team closed out the first half of the season with their annual fall rodeo.

The men's team ended the fall half of the season in first place not only in the Big Sky Region but in the national standings as well.

The women's team is ranked third in the region and 11th in the nation.

Sam Levine leads the region and the nation in the all-around with teammate Coulter Gruel third in the nation and the region.

James Irish leads the region and the nation in saddle bronc riding. Brian Dawson is fifth in the nation and fourth in the region while Coulter Gruel is 12th in the region.

In bareback riding, Colter Davis is third in the nation and second in the region.

In bull riding, Levi Hendrickson is sixth in the region and tied for 17th in the nation.

In tie-down roping, Sam Levine is second in the region and fourth in the nation. Kyle VanViezen is third in the region and sixth in the nation, Coulter Gruel is fourth in the region and tied for 10th in the nation, Justin Lund is fifth in the region and 13th in the nation, Brent McInerney is 12th in the region and Ty Miller is 13th in the region.

In steer wrestling, Taylor Nahrgang is first in the region and first in the nation. Stetson Wilson is sixth in the region and 21st in the nation, Justin Keppner is 14th in the region and Matthew Irish is 15th in the region.

In team roping, header, Justin Lund is first in the region and second in the nation, Coulter Gruel is tied for fourth in the region tied for sixth in the region, Brent McInerney is sixth in the region and 10th in the nation, Mandy Eichhorn is tied for 11th in the region and Neil Tatsey is 15th in the region.

In team roping, heeler, Sam Levine is first in the region and the nation. Alex Watson is second in the region and second in the nation, Parker Murnion is tied for fourth in the region and sixth in the nation, Deven Duffin is sixth in the region and 10th in the nation, Bridger Ward is tied for 11th in the region and Levi Hendrickson is 15th in the region.

In barrel racing, Deanna Levine is 12th in the region, Shaylee French is 14th in the region, Rose Fields is tied for 15th in the region with teammate Brandy Pedersen.

In breakaway roping, Kayla Hutchison is second in the region and eighth in the nation, Britney Lyman is sixth in the region and tied for 18th in the nation, Chelsea Kack is eighth in the region, Kasie Roe is ninth in the region, Amy Ward is 10th in the region, Coree Shiner is 11th in the region, Whitney Wines is 14th in the region and Megan Lunak is tied for 15th in the region.

In goat tying, Amber Overstreet is second in the region and tied for seventh in the nation. Shaylee French is eighth in the region, Kasie Roe is ninth in the region, Amy Ward is 11th in the region and Mandy Eichhorn is 12th in the region.
