Western Hosts Fall Rodeo

The Western rodeo team hosts the Big Sky Region for the final two rodeos of the Fall Season, Thursday, September 29 through Sunday, October 2.
In addition to the Western men and women's teams, also competing, teams from Montana State-Bozeman, University of Montana-Missoula, Montana-State Northern, Miles Community College, Dawson Community College, and Northwest College
The first performance begins Thursday evening at 5:00 p.m. There will be a Slack Performance Friday morning at 9:00 a.m. and a Friday short round performance at 5:00 p.m. On Saturday, there will be Slack Performance at 9:00 a.m. and a Saturday evening performance at 5:00 p.m. followed by a top ten calcutta at Papa T's at 9:30 p.m. The top ten short round begins Sunday at 11:00 a.m.
Both the Western men and women's teams sit in second place in the national and regional standings.
Individually, Western's Mac Erickson is leading the nation and the region in bareback riding and is in second place in the region and the nation in the All-Around standings. Jarrett Monroe leads the region and is second in the nation in saddle bronc riding. Western's Stetson Wilson leads the region and is second in the nation in steer wrestling. For the Western women, Deanna Levine leads the nation and the region in barrel racing, Bry Worthern leads in breakaway roping with teammate Tierani Brusett in second in both the region and the nation. Kayla Rae Hutchinson is tops in the region and the nation in goat tying and second in the region and third in the nation in the women's all-around.
