Laurel Volleyball Star Signs With Bulldogs

Kirby Rae Myers, a 5’8” outside hitter from Laurel, Mont., has signed a Frontier Conference/NAIA letter of intent to play volleyball for the University of Montana Western according to head coach Katie Howells.
Myers earned All-Conference honors for Laurel. In her senior season, she had 137 kills, 284 digs and a 89 percent serving percentage with 37 service aces. This past season, she led her team in digs and was second in kills.
“We are excited to have Kirby join the Western volleyball program,” said Howells. “I know we will see great things out of Kirby because she is a hard worker with a great attitude.”
In addition to volleyball, Myers also participates in basketball and softball. She was a member of Laurel’s state championship teams in basketball and softball in 2006. Myers was selected to the Softball All-State All-Tournament team.
From the classroom, she was selected to the Honor Roll and received Academic All-State honors.
She is the daughter of Shane and Pattie Myers and joins sister Kiley on the Bulldog roster. Myers will major in general studies at Montana Western.

Valier Star Signs With Bulldog Volleyball

Aisha Snyder, a 5’9” outside hitter/middle blocker/setter from Valier, has signed a Frontier Conference/NAIA letter of intent to play volleyball at the University of Montana Western according to head coach Katie Howells.
Snyder earned All-Conference and All-State honors at Valier. In her senior season, she recorded 376 kills, 172 digs, 179 assists and 86 blocks. For her career, she recorded 1461 kills, 398 assisted blocks and 353 solo blocks, 945 digs and 549 assists. She had a career serving percentage of 93.7.
“Aisha was one of the best high school volleyball players in the state,” said Howells. “She has an outstanding vertical and can hit the ball very hard. Aisha will make an immediate impact in our front row.”
Snyder also participates in basketball at Valier. Last year she earned All-Conference honors. Her current season is still underway.
From the classroom, she maintains a 3.6 GPA. Snyder plans to major in elementary education at Montana Western. She is the daughter of Gail Holstad and R.T. Snyder.
