Hinsdale Volleyball Star to Play at Western

Arron Fjeld, a 5'11 middle blocker from Hinsdale High School, has signed a NAIA-Frontier Conference letter of intent to play volleyball for the University of Montana-Western, according to head coach Jenny Peterson.
Fjeld earned All-Conference honors her sophomore, junior and senior seasons. She was selected her team's “Rookie of the Year” after her freshman season. Fjeld won individual awards for kills and blocks.
“We are very excited that Arron chose to play volleyball at UM-Western,” said head coach Jenny Peterson. “When I saw her play at our summer volleyball camp, I knew she had to be a Lady Bulldog! Her athleticism, work ethic and competitiveness will make her a huge contributor to our program. Arron does very well in the classroom, and it will mean a lot to our program to sign such an outstanding student-athlete.
In addition to volleyball, Fjeld also competes in basketball and track. She earned All-Conference honors in both sports. Fjeld was also active in band and chorus, FFA and Student Council. For her classroom work, she earned Academic All-State honors.
Fjeld will graduate this Spring from Hinsdale with a 3.84 GPA. She is the daughter of Gifford and Kay Fjeld and plans
