Lady Bulldogs Open Conference Season
Thursday, September 15 2005
The Lady Bulldog volleyball team hosts Westminster College in a Frontier Conference Volleyball match from Western’s Straugh Gymnasium, Friday, September 16. The match begins at 7:00 p.m.
Western is 8-6 on the season after last weekend’s 3-1 finish at their own UM-Western Invitational. The Lady Bulldogs are ranked sixth in Region I.
“I was very pleased with our effort this past weekend,” said Western coach Jenny Peterson. “We did a lot very good things, but there are still a few little things we need to do better at. And, with conference season starting, the little things could mean a lot.”
Westminster is 4-9 on the season and also went 3-1 last weekend at the UM-Western Invitational. At the tourney, both schools defeated Lewis-Clark and Rocky and both lost to MSU-Billings.
“Westminster is a very good team,” added Peterson. “Kim did a great job recruiting and she has some very talented athletes. This won’t be an easy match. In fact, I don’t see the chance of any easy matches this year in conference. There are some very good teams and to win, you will have to play your best without mistakes.”
