UMW News BureauMontana's A & E awarded the Main Hall Phase I construction bid to Swank Enterprises of Valier, Mont. Montana’s Department of Administration, Architecture and Engineering (A&E) has awarded the construction bid for Phase I of the University of Montana Western Main Hall renovation project to Swank Enterprises of Valier, Mont. By law, the state of Montana through A&E is responsible for preparing, soliciting and awarding bids for state building projects. The division encourages all Montana contractors to participate in the bidding process and awards projects following state procurement regulations. Montana Western Chancellor Richard Storey said, “We very much appreciate the great work and dedication of the A&E staff. Their assistance and support of the Main Hall project and Montana Western is significant.” A&E will serve as project manager during construction at the Dillon, Mont. campus. Swank has already begun work on Phase I which is expected to be completed by July 2010.
