Thomas G. Satterly is fourth generation Butte, Montana. He has lived in Montana most of his life, spending a few years in neighboring Wyoming, Alberta, and British Columbia.

Tom was a hardrock miner in Butte and a cartographer for the Montana Bureau of Mines and Geology before getting a Bachelors degree in Communications from the University of Wyoming. When he is not doing webpage work, he is a storyteller for the Montana Committee for the Humanities, currently with a chautauqua performance on the 1917 Granite Mountain ­ Speculator Mine fire.
