Professional Interests
Regarding research, I am primarily interested in the
application of mathematical modeling techniques to the
environmental sciences. My current projects include:
Computer-aided surveying techniques for caves
Modeling the formation of calcite rimstone dams
Reactive influences upon Taylor dispersion
I am also interested in cryptology. For more information on
some of these topics, please see my
research page.
Regarding teaching, I am interested in
helping students learn mathematics by encouraging them to
participate in hands-on projects. In particular, I would be
interested in involving students in some of the above projects.
