Welcome to Dining Services at The University of Montana - Western! Our goal is to provide you the best meals and the best environment possible at a reasonable price. We can also accommodate special requests and dietary requirements and we'll be happy to make your favorite dish (you provide the recipe)!
For the 2008-2009 school year, we will continue to offer a seven-day meal plan. This plan costs $1615 per semester and allows students "All Day Access" to the dining hall plus $100 available in the Bark-n-Bite convenience store. This allows students, faculty and staff to dine at a time that fits into your schedule. A variety of hot entrees, soup and salad bar and a deli bar with home baked rolls and cold cuts are offered throughout the day. For those who prefer a sweet treat, we offer fresh bakery items all day. Monday through Friday are also our "Burger Bar" days if you would like that ever popular burger and fries. Hopefully this will allow those of you with heavy schedules during lunch and dinner to still have the opportunity to dine with us. Providing an array of food choices helps you to maintain the style of diet and nutrition requirements you prefer. Below you will find our meal schedule and a description of the items we offer.
Students living in the Residence Halls are required to purchase a meal plan.
Meal plan refunds are available only upon leaving campus. A daily prorated refund schedule is available upon request from Business Services or Dining Services.
UM-Western's Dining Hall is located in Mathews Hall, adjacent to Mathews Residence Hall. We are open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner five days a week at the following times:

ALSO, you have $100 per semester on your meal card that can be used at the Bark 'n' Bite Convenience Store located in the Student Union. This money may also be used to 'host' guests. Please use your money wisely and be prepared for the weekends. Only Continental Breakfast & Dinner are served in the dining hall on the weekends.
Please be sure to check the lobby for updates on weekend hours and holiday information. Also, check the links to the left for current information about meal plans, prices, and menus. Besides the basic meal plans, non-resident students have the option of buying a flex plan.

Residence Hall Students:
Your meal plan contains $100 per semester of Flex Money. You may use this money to buy items at the convenience store. Remember that the Dining Hall is only open for continental Breakfast & Dinner on the weekends, so please plan to stop by the Bark 'n' Bite for your weekend needs.
