Center for Service-Learning and AmeriCorps Programs
Programs affiliated with the Center for Service Learning and AmeriCorps are: *Dillon's Youth Connections Mentoring Program-UMW AmeriCorps members may serve on the advisory council during their term of service, offering assistance in match support and fund development for the program. *SpaceWard Bound After School Program-An AmeriCorps member is working in conjunction with YMCA and INSA to explore the outer reaches of space in an after-school program. Volunteers assist in supervision and instruction of participating students. *Community Tutoring Program-AmeriCorps and the Center for Service Learning coordinates tutoring programs for the Montana Youth ChalleNGe assisting them in their studies. *Dillon’s Food Commodity Program for Seniors-AmeriCorps members and community members sort and deliver nutritional food to Dillon’s low-income seniors once a month. *Other Projects-AmeriCorps members and the Center for Service Learning are involved in a variety of other projects on either a one-time or ongoing basis. Some of the projects of the past include: United Blood Services Blood Drives, Beaverhead Humane Society, Chamber of Commerce Halloween Party, and was involved with the Parkview Elementary Enrichment Program.
