Montana Western Campus Wireless Network Setup Instructions

The UM-Western wireless network system provide basic Internet functionality access to computers that meet the following requirements and are configured properly.  
 
To connect to the Montana Western Campus Wireless Network you MUST meet the following requirements: 
· A valid UMW Windows account. These are issued to all students, staff, and faculty. There are also generic patron accounts available in the Library and STC. 
· Microsoft Windows XP operating system including the Wireless Client Utility that is part of Service Pack 2, or a MAC Ibook running OS X. Other operating systems and/or wireless client software is not supported. 
· An IEEE 802.11A, IEEE 802.11B or IEEE 802.11G Wireless Network Card. Make sure the latest driver for the card is installed.

Click on the Hot Spots menu option to see a current map of wireless access point locations across the UM-Western campus.
