SeungJung (SJ) Jo is interested in ways that children learn through collaborative and authentic experiences. Her areas of research include children’s math learning in real-world activities such as cooking, relationships between students’ math self-concept and teachers’ instructional approaches, international comparative math textbook analysis, and culturally responsive teaching for English language learners. She has worked with culturally and linguistically diverse children in the US and South Korea as a preschool teacher.
