Roadside Geology of Southwest Montana with Dr. Rob Thomas

Join us at the Patagonia Outlet in Dillon, Montana for the presentation of Roadside Geology of Southwest Montana. At this free event, Dr. Rob Thomas will focus on the geologic history of southwest Montana. Covering basement rocks being formed in plate collisions some four billion years ago, to the impacts of the Yellowstone volcano in this geologically active part of Montana.
The free booklet, “Geologic History of Dillon, Montana Area” will be available to all who are attending, and signed copies of Roadside Geology of Montanan, 2nd Edition will be available for purchase.
Tobacco Root Geological Society will be tabling a the event. Come see Jesse and Alan who will be managing the table providing you more knowledge!
