Experiential Learning Grant Instructions & Online Application

The Experience One Grant Fund was created by ASUMW to support Montana Western students who are seeking to further their education outside of the traditional boundaries of the institution. Activities qualifying for this grant include, but are not limited to, conference, seminars, and study abroad opportunities.

Applications are open from the start of each semester through the last day of Block 3 in the fall and Block 7 in the spring.

Guidelines:

  • All allocations are made at the discretion of the ASUMW Student Senate and are based on the merit of each individual grant proposal. Requested amounts are not guaranteed.
  • Individual grant requests may not exceed $500. Students may submit one grant request per semester and receive a maximum of $1,000 in total grant money during their enrollment at Montana Western.
  • Allocations will likely be dispersed in Block 4 for fall applications and Block 8 for spring applications. Recipients will be notified of their award by email.
  • ASUMW reserves the right to request evidence of actual expenses and may require reimbursement of any or all funds not related to direct expenses.
