The University of Montana Western congratulates alumna Heidi DuBray, who was featured today as one of Complete College America's "20 for 20" graduates.
Nicolas “Cole” Johnston, a graduate of Beaverhead High School and UMW Class of 2025, will begin Ph.D. research in human genetics this fall through the University of Iowa’s Interdisciplinary Graduate Program in Genetics. His path to doctorate-level biomedical research began after transferring from engineering at Montana Tech to join the UMW biology program. Inspired by UMW’s block schedule and immersive, discipline-specific practices, Cole developed a true passion for learning and a drive to excel.
University of Montana Western English majors Selika McGlynn and Rebecca Shandy presented their original research at Connections 2025, an academic conference hosted by graduate students at the University of California, Davis. Their papers were developed as part of the final project in LIT 228: Italian Late Middle Ages Literature, a co-taught course by Dr. Sean Eudaily and Dr. Bethany Blankenship.
