EARN YOUR ELEMENTARY EDUCATION DEGREE FULLY ONLINE WITH UMW’S PROJECT REAL
The University of Montana Western is excited to offer a path for paraprofessionals, emergency hires, and place-based Montana students to earn a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education, fully online, through UMW’s Project REAL (Rural Experience, Authentic Learning).
MONTANA WESTERN ANNOUNCES 2024 HOMECOMING EVENTS
The University of Montana Western will celebrate Homecoming from October 21-26, 2024. This week offers an exciting opportunity for alumni, friends, students, faculty, staff, and community members to come together and enjoy a variety of events hosted by Montana Western Alumni and Friends, Bulldog Athletics, the Associated Students of the University of Montana Western, and the Bulldog Life Office.
LIFE: INSIDE AND OUT 2024-2025 SEASON LINEUP
The University of Montana Western’s Biology Department is pleased to present Life: Inside and Out (LIO), a speaker series that features scientists from across the country, sharing their research in an accessible and engaging format. LIO would like to invite both the UMW and Dillon communities to attend the next presentation, “Geochemistry and Life: From Supervolcanoes to Silver Bow Creek” by Dr. Alysia Cox, on Wednesday, October 16, in UMW’s Lucy Carson Library.
EXPERIENCE MONTANA WESTERN 2024: FALL PREVIEW DAY
The University of Montana Western invites all prospective and incoming students, along with their families, to attend Experience Montana Western, a free fall preview day on Friday, November 15, 2024.
MONTANA WESTERN FINE ARTS GALLERY PRESENTS "OUR WORKING HANDS"
The University of Montana Western Fine Arts Gallery is honored to present “Our Working Hands”, a group show highlighting traditional western craftsmanship from Southwestern Montana. Featured artisans include Ross Miller, Freckers Saddlery, Schwarz Custom Boots, Justin Thorson, Terri Courtney, Mark Raffety, Loncey and Jessie Jo Johnson, Tony Panheiro, and George Holt. The gallery will host an opening reception and artist talk on Friday, November 1, 2024, from 5:00-7:00 p.m. in the Fine Arts Gallery, located in Main Hall.
MONTANA WESTERN AND BANK OF COMMERCE PERFORMING ART SERIES PRESENT “THE WITCHING TIME: SHADOW IMMERSIVE”
The University of Montana Western Theatre Department and the Bank of Commerce Performing Arts Series are thrilled to present “The Witching Time: Shadow Immersive”, an interactive experience showcasing the untold stories of nine historical figures, women who were persecuted for witchcraft, between the years of 1657 and 1693. This event will be held on November 4 and 5, 2024 in UMW’s Beier Auditorium.
APPLY TO MONTANA WESTERN DURING FREE COLLEGE APPLICATION WEEKS
The University of Montana Western is excited to announce its participation in Montana College Application Weeks, running through October 11, 2024. This statewide initiative gives high school seniors the opportunity to explore their postsecondary options and apply to colleges for free during school hours using the Montana University System's centralized application portal.
