Montana Western Presents Missoula Children’s Theatre “Red Riding Hood”

September 4, 2025

The University of Montana Western’s Fine Arts Department and the Bank of Commerce Performing Arts Series are excited to welcome the Missoula Children’s Theatre production of “Red Riding Hood” on Saturday, September 27, 2025, in Beier Auditorium.

Missoula Children Theatres’ Red Riding Hood. September 2025

Join Red Riding Hood and her pre-teen friends on a whimsical journey through the woods in this lively adaptation by Michael McGill, with music and lyrics also by McGill. In this family-friendly tale, Red navigates adventures, distractions, and surprises on her way to Grandmother’s house. Along the way, she encounters a not-so-bad Big Bad Wolf, a friendly Forest Ranger, mischievous young wolves, a dashing Woodsman, the Three Little Pigs, and even a Boy Who Cried…well, you’ll see! With the help of her family and a loyal young Locksmith, Red learns that staying on the right path is key—and maybe she’ll finally reclaim her picnic basket from a band of rascally raccoons.

Rated G, this fun and engaging performance is perfect for audiences of all ages and offers a delightful introduction to storytelling, music, and theater for children.

Red Riding Hood will be performed in Montana Western’s Beier Auditorium at 3:30 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 27, 2025.
