I have spent much of my adult life oscillating between two loves—Montana Western and Puerto Rico, where my wife, Damaris, and I lived entirely off-the-grid for a decade. Damaris and I are both graduates of Montana Western (B.A. in Literature & Writing) and have worked within UMW’s Residence Life in numerous contexts as students and staff. I attribute much of my enduring love for Montana Western, the collegiate experience, and lifelong learning to my positive experience on campus with Residence Life as a young student; I strive to contribute to this every day.
In my spare time, I enjoy reading, exploring mathematics, chording along on a guitar, and attempting to live as environmentally sustainably as possible.
I have come to believe that true education necessarily tends toward understanding and tolerance, qualities that I seek to continually grow toward, qualities that I desire to contribute to, and qualities that I believe the University of Montana Western stimulates and exemplifies.
