Syllabus Statement on Accessibility
Including an accessibility statement in your syllabus reflects a commitment to inclusive education and ensures students are aware of available support for academic accommodations.
We recommend not only adding the statement to your syllabus but also reviewing it with your class so students may feel more at ease requesting accommodations.
Accommodations for Students with Disabilities
The University of Montana-Western assures equal access to instruction through collaboration between students with disabilities, faculty, and DSS. If you anticipate or experience barriers based on disability and require reasonable accommodations, please contact the DSS Office at 406-638-7388 or [email protected], or visit the DSS website for more information. Retroactive accommodation requests will not be honored, so please, do not delay. I will work with you and the DSS to implement an effective accommodation, and you are welcome to contact me privately.
