All abstracts must meet the guidelines specified below. Abstracts that do not follow the guidelines below will not be accepted.

Abstracts submitted by the deadline are guaranteed to be included in the published abstract booklet

Late-breaking abstracts will be accepted until the day before the symposium (April 23, 2026) but will not be included in the published abstract booklet

Policy on Use of Animal or Human Subjects in Research

Data used in any presentation that involves animals or human subjects must have been collected in compliance with all guidelines specified by the University of Montana’s Institutional Animal Care and Use Committee (IACUC) and by the University of Montana’s Institutional Review Board (IRB) for the Protection of Human Subjects.

Policy on Use of Generative AI/LLMs (ChatGPT, GROK, Gemini, CoPilot etc)

Use of Generative AI to write abstracts is strictly prohibited

Use of Generative AI in the production of any part of a presentation must be properly cited 


All submitters will be notified by APRIL 8, 2026 of the specific time, and presentation format.
