The UMW Undergraduate Research Program (URP) is designed to offer students the opportunity to pursue independent research or scholarly activities related to their fields of study as a pursuit to jumpstart their post-graduate careers or build upon established interests. The URP is designed to formalize student research at UMW into a single program encompassing all departments. The UMW URP is supported by an annual ten-thousand-dollar ($10,000) fund supplied by UMW, as well as current university funds, including but not limited to X-one funds and the Artemis Grant.

Proposals for the Undergraduate Research Program are due on October 11th and March 7th each academic year. All proposals should follow the format described in the call for proposals. All proposals must be submitted using the application form below.
