Good afternoon,

I wanted to let you know that in response to yesterday’s announcements by Governor Bullock and Commissioner Christian providing guidance and parameters for the gradual reopening of the state, we are working on the most appropriate plan for Montana Western.

Also, I am pleased to share that a number of groups are thoughtfully planning for various scenarios for fall semester with regards to instruction and campus life. We are also creating various budget scenarios.

We will provide you with more information about all of this next week. Meanwhile, please continue with your current work arrangements and with the health practices that have helped mitigate the impact of the pandemic on our university, community, and state.

Thank you for your patience and understanding as we work through this complicated situation together. Thank you to all of you who have been contacting our students individually to offer information and the comfort of a listening ear, and thank you all for persisting in your excellent work.
